Hiiii friends!
I’m bringing back Friday Fun! This is where I share all things that I’ve loved this week. A mix of products, readings, things to do, music… anything!
Article: The Lazy Way to An Awesome Life
I’ve been reading Eric Barker’s psychology/self help blog for years now! He sends like one email a week, and I’m also impressed with the readability of his articles even when he includes research snippets. In particular, this article focuses on how many people are in a rut during this COVID time. I related so much to it, and I’ve been trying to find ways of being normal, productive and happy all while the world is not very normal at all (more to come on this). Highly suggest reading it if you are feeling stuck lately, too!
Trader Joe’s Spicy, Smoky PEACH Salsa
Ethan and I are BIG chips and salsa fans… I mean we probably eat a little bit every day if I’m being perfectly honest. We usually eat Jack’s Special Salsa (IFYKYK), but last weekend, my friend Ashley found this one at Trader Joe’s while we were shopping, so we decided to try it. I’m obsessed. It’s such a nice balance of like spicy and smokey with peach, but it’s definitely on the peachy side. Highly recommend giving this one a try if you’re a TJ’s stan like me.
The Shorts
So I’ve been on the quest all summer to find THE shorts. I bought the AGOLDE Parker shorts, which I am a big fan of, but they are a little shorter than I’d ideally like. I saw Bess Carter recommend these boyfriend shorts, and I loved the fit on her. To my surprise, they are Abercrombie & Fitch! WHAT? I haven’t shopped there since I was like 17, well except the one time in college I got a flannel from there for Mountain Weekend, but that doesn’t count. Seriously, the price ($42), quality and fit of these is great for those of us who don’t want to show our butt to everyone. 😛 Find them here in four different colors!
Hollywood Flawless Filter
Love love love this makeup. It gives you such a nice glow and makes you look flawless as the name describes. I wear this with sunscreen and concealer, and generally don’t wear foundation when I wear it. It’s a bit expensive, but I love it! For reference my skin is normal and maybe sometimes slightly dry, and I ordered the Light/Medium shade. You can find this at Nordstrom & Bloomingdales.
Summer Water
Omg. This wine. I love a dry rose (honestly I can’t figure out how to do the appropriate e lol). I found this at Whole Foods, but they have it here on WINC, too. It’s under $20, and has the prettiest bottle design! Highly recommend while the temperatures are still warm!
Leave a comment if there are things you’ve loved during quarantine. I’d love to hear suggestions!
xoxo,
Cortney
