I’m always a fan of white no matter the season. However, this year particularly, I’ve been more into neutrals and therefore winter whites. After posting this picture the other day, one of my friends suggested a winter white blog post, so here we are.
I love a full neutral look. You can very easily mix and match winter whites, tans, browns for a really chic look. However, a nice pop of color stands out even more against the white background of a monochrome outfit. My outfit with the blue wool coat is the perfect example.
Speaking of the full white look, two of my favorite winter white pieces actually came from a display mannequin that I saw in Charleston back in November at the Club Monaco store. This fall/winter season (2020-2021), I knew I wanted a winter white pair of pants. Therefore, when I saw the exact pants and sweater I’m wearing below on the mannequin, I was immediately sold on the outfit and on Club Monaco! By the way, I really like this brand for classic, chic and clean pieces.
One final tip about winter whites: you likely won’t be able to exactly match all your pieces if you’re doing a full monochrome look. That’s okay! Your pieces don’t have to be an exact match or even from the same brand. Textures and fabric will be different, and that will make it difficult to be an exact match for anything. So don’t stress about an exact match!
