I saw a friend looking for recommendations on lipsticks, so I wanted to round up my favorite neutral colors. Now, I don’t know about you, but I feel incomplete if I’ve put on makeup and don’t apply lipstick. Adding lipstick, even when the color isn’t bright and in your face, completes the look and helps you look more polished.
Because I wear lipstick almost every day, I’ve tried a lot of lipstick colors. I typically like neutral lipsticks that have a more pink or brown undertone. These colors typically look universally good on people from what I’ve seen, too!
My five favorite colors range in price from $10 to $38, so I don’t really get too caught up on price point for my everyday colors. If I know I’ll wear something all the time, I’m willing to spend more money on it. However, I receive a ton of compliments on the Covergirl Ultimatte which is the least expensive. Just goes to show that price doesn’t matter sometimes!
NARS “Dolce Vita” in Satin Finish

Covergirl Ultimatte Lipstick in “Prosecco Pop”
I get tons of compliments on this affordable lip color. It’s only $10 and it stays on really well. It definitely has more of a brown undertone color. You can shop this one here.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color in “Neutral Rose”
I love this lipstick in general. It’s more of a satin finish but I find it stays on really well. This neutral rose color is beautiful. It’s a little bolder than the others, but still a great neutral. Shop this lip color here.
MAC Matte Lipstick in “Velvet Teddy”
This lip color stays on really well and is a great nude option without blending in with your skin! Shop this one here!
Charlotte Tilbury “Pillow Talk” Matte Revolution
This one is a cult favorite. I received a sample of it, and loved it so much I got the full size and turned half of my family onto it. I love it with my skin tone and when paired with the lip liner, it’s a beautiful combination. Shop it here.
