Hey friends! Surprise – I finally started a new full time job! I have actually known about this job since February and kept it to myself for the most part, except when people guessed or I talked to them in person. Honestly, being unemployed in a pandemic was such a whirlwind, and I didn’t want to say anything “publicly” until I officially started so as not to jinx the whole situation.
The Details
Last Monday, I started as an Account Manager in Affiliate Marketing for Acceleration Partners, and I am beyond happy and feel like I’m in the right place. Honestly, this position and organization is exactly what I had been hoping for for some time. I get to work with clients but also work on marketing strategy and that is exciting to me. The company is so organized, process and system oriented, and values having a work life balance which I’m so impressed with. I’m also fully remote, so I’ll never have to go into an office (PTL no commute!). Out of all the ups and downs of trying to find a job like applying to jobs I didn’t really want, interviewing, getting rejected, and never hearing back from some companies, it all ended up working out for the best.
It’s funny, I have a prayer journal that I write in occasionally, and I read an entry from December when I was really starting to get frustrated and defeated. In the entry, I wrote that I trusted God to provide the right job for my abilities and the situation I desired. Sure enough, He delivered, and I am so thankful!
For those that may be struggling to find the right job for you, keep pushing, keep networking, keep applying and don’t lose hope! Also if you are interested in working at Acceleration Partners, feel free to DM or email me! 🙂
What’s Next for the Blog?
This does mean some things I’ll have to be careful with on my blog. Because my agency handles affiliate marketing (ie how influencer/bloggers make money) for some major brands, I will no longer be able to post links to certain brands due to a conflict of interest. Honestly, this will force me to show you more unique brands and websites which hopefully will be a good thing! Additionally, as I adjust to working full time again, and blogging, please be patient and kind with me as I may not be posting quite as frequently as I did when I had nothing else to do.
Some upcoming posts I’ve been working on to look forward to:
- My morning skincare routine
- Spring/Summer dresses
- Recap of our Florida trip
- Recap of our Napa trip (since we’ll all be more comfortable traveling soon!)
As always, I appreciate your support in my endeavors, personally and professionally! You all are the best!
