For the past roughly 8 years, I’ve been using Rent the Runway. I’ve rented cocktail dresses and gowns since college for weddings and formal events. I’ve loved the service because you pay a fraction of the price for a gown that you’d only wear once anyway, and you don’t have to worry about storing it in your closet. Or worse, you don’t have to feel guilty about spending hundreds of dollars on a dress to only wear it once or twice.
Over the past few years, Rent the Runway has expanded their offering to include more casual pieces, outerwear, purses and accessories that you can also rent. You can have a full designer wardrobe that you can swap out!
This year, I tried the unlimited subscription to Rent the Runway. There are multiple options to this subscription that goes from one swap a month, their newest offering of two swaps a month, or unlimited. I’ve been able to try trends, new designers, and purchase some of my favorite rentals at a fraction of the price (this Rhode resort top for example). The reviews and detailed information about the items help me determine the best size, so I rarely rent something that doesn’t fit. If I do, Rent the Runway has the best customer service and they help out!
