My latest Youtube Video is live, and I’m reviewing six different red lipstick options. Ever since I lost my all time favorite holiday red MAC lipstick that’s discontinued, I’ve been on the hunt! I asked for recommendations for a good red, and you all came through with beautiful colors from varying brands, however, Nars was definitely the top suggested brand!
However, I didn’t try some reds that were recommended because they were a little too bright or neon for my taste. I think I look best in a blue red lip color, so you’ll notice that these are prevalent throughout the video and colors I tested.
My Two Favorite Red Lipsticks
If I had to choose one less expensive one, I’d choose this Covergirl Ultimatte. I have several other colors from this line, and I love them as well. This matte lipstick stays on really well and this color is beautiful. Also you can’t beat it for under $10, so you might as well grab multiple lip colors.
My other favorite NARS lipstick is the Powermatte red. It’s like a Taylor Swift red because it just stands out so nicely, and it looks so classic. You can create the perfect lines with this one, and it looks professional. It stays on really well, I mean really well, so you’ll need a dedicated makeup wipe or great makeup remover to get it off at the end of the day.
